Location
Haddenham is situated on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, some 2 miles east of Thame and 7 miles west of Aylesbury.

Development proposals
Haddenham Business Park is an established employment site extending to some 195,000 sq. ft. of business space.

Outline planning permission was granted for the development of a further 288,000 sq. ft. of B1, B2 & B8 employment space on 13.5 acres together with full planning permission for a new link road from the A418 which will provide direct access to the Park and a footway and cycle link to Haddenham Parkway station.

A Planning Brief and Design Guide have been prepared that set out the framework for future developments within the expansion area. This framework will ensure future development is of consistently high quality that enhances the Business Park environment whilst providing sufficient flexibility for individual requirements. Work has been completed on the detailed design of the development and Lands Improvement are in a position to let a contract for construction on a design and build basis subject to pre let.

Project status
Lands Improvement let a £2million contract for the construction of the new link road and roundabout. The road was opened to traffic in late 2008.
Reserved Matters approval for the first phase of the Business Park expansion was granted in December 2007. This provided for 110,000 sq ft of light industrial units which can be divided to create a range of unit sizes from 2,500 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft.

Planning permission has been obtained for 31 homes on a small area of ground at the gateway to the Business Park. This site was sold by Lands Improvement to a local housing company, W E Black Ltd in 2008. Lands Improvement are exploring other opportunities for additional residential and employment development within their land holding, notably adjacent to the railway station.

Lands Improvement is working with the Upward Bound Trust, a charitable organization operating a gliding school from the Airfield, to relocate their hanger facilities. Other community uses on the airfield have recently been established including the dedication of a permissive path and the establishment of new football fields in partnership with the Parish Council.
