Location
The site is to the west of Kilmarnock, adjacent to Annandale
Golf Course.
Development proposals
This greenfield residential development site extends to around 23 hectares. It is allocated in the East Ayrshire Local Plan for 360 houses. Lands Improvement secured outline planning permission for the site in 2003 and subsequently obtained full planning permission for the creation of development platforms and the installation of all infrastructure. A Design Guide was agreed with the Council to ensure a high quality approach to design proposals.
Project status
Phase 1 (245 units) was sold to Bellway Homes and Robertson Homes in 2005. Lands Improvement constructed the main site roundabout and installed all off-site drainage and services. Bellway installed the main spine road and all infrastructure. Bellway have built out their site which is called Springhill Meadows and the first residents moved in during the summer of 2006. Robertson have largely completed and sold their Fishers Grange scheme.
Lands Improvement installed the drainage infrastructure for Phase 2 and created the main development platform in Spring 2006. Phase 2 was put on the market in Summer 2006 and was sold to Persimmon Homes. The final phases of housing are now underway . |
